Wedding Shawl

The phulakia ludaki is for wear at weddings and the ceremonies surrounding the transfer of a bride to her new home. An example of traditional inter-communal cooperation and specialization of skills, ludaki are woven by members of the Meghwal community, tie-dyed by members of the Khatri community and then embroidered by the Rabari.
